To help us reach our goal, Shepherd of the Hills, a church in Los Angeles, has announced that they will match any donations given in December, all the way up to $25,000!  So if you give, your gift will be doubled!

Venture Capitalist – noun: 

An individual who invests in start-up companies with the intent of making a large return on investment.

Verve is a new church, launching in February, 2010, for the Las Vegas Strip.  That’s right, we’re starting a church in the heart of Sin City!  And we’ll be reaching people with crazy schedules, so we plan to do a Sunday morning service AND alternate service days/times throughout the week.  We also want to do a Celebrate Recovery support group ministry, Life Skill seminars, and a food co-op.  

And all of that means … we need to lease a permanent 24/7 space.

We have found an amazing space to lease – facing the main highway of Vegas and the Strip, just south of the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign that is the front door of the Strip.

This spot is killer, and we can get it for an insane price.  The only issue is the start-up costs.  We need to do build-out and purchase equipment to get us into the space.

And that’s where you come in! 

We need 500 people to give us $100 each.  Would you be one of those 500?  Would you become a Verve Venture Capitalist?  Yeah, $100 is a sacrifice, but how cool would it be for you to be part of starting a church for the Vegas Strip?!  And the return on investment will be large, and last for all eternity.
